A unique last name. He departed from Napoli and arrived April 25, 1910.\n\nIgnazio was a 40 year old married man and Giovanna was an 11 year old girl assumed to be his daughter.\nHe said they were from Marinero, Sicily. They both departed from Palermo and arrived on the Ship Perugla on Febuary 13, 1913.\n\nIn contrast, an Ellis Island qwery of "guarneri" results in 352 matches with the bulk of them arriving in the first fifteen years of the 20th century. There also appears to be a number duplicate enteries. Closer inspection might be taken in the future. Given that 3/355 is approximately 0.8%, "Quarneri" appears to be an error in translation.\n\nSimilarly a Google search of "quarneri" results in roughly 650 results while a search of "guarneri" results in approximately 890,000 results.\n\nIn any case it's a unique name starting with an uncommon letter which makes finding Quarneris easier.\n

Welcome to the new Quarneri.org! \n\nThis domain presently serves mostly as a way to facilitate email so there's not much to see here yet. But some feature improvements are in the works. With a little effort we could put up community photo galleries, video streams, news blotters, reviews, coupons, a stuff-to-share list, private peer-to-peer network, blog, calendar, webmail, contacts list, to do items and whatever else the community wants.\n\nHowever, for the time being you can only learn a little [[history|Quarneri]] about the name or read our master [[plan|What's the Plan Here]]. Or visit [[Matt's Site|mq.html]]\n\nIf you would like to contact the guy responsible for what's here send email to matt at quarneri.org. He will gladly post any stuff or links you'd like to post here. As long as it fits within the site's rigid design spec of course... just kidding. We'll make it fit.

The Plan has yet again changed from its original state and scope. \n\nCurrently we are revising our Plan.\n\nIt was going to be to facilitate the reunification of the Eastern and Western Quarneri families and bridge the divide caused during Dark Thanksgiving '98. But then it was discovered that there are no Eastern and Western divisions and Dark Thanksgiving '98 was really a misunderstanding over the definition of bread pudding.\n\nPrior to that it was to be the home of a great and benevolent philanthropic foundation that would fund and facilitate improvements in public eduation, renewable energy, and public health. But then it was realized that such a thing requires a hefty endowment since credit can only get you so far.\n\nAnd prior to that it was to be a family's cyber-repository for its members’ multi-terabyte fMRI consciousnesses scans which at some point in the future would be uploaded and run on immortal silicon-based brains. Waking up and realizing we fell asleep reading "The Singularity is Near" ruined that one.
